Upon waking up, we found out that indeed, our food was still there. Happiness all around.
Rolled my ankle/foot about 2 miles in the day. Not a good thing, and decided to leave the ascent (and descent) of Blood Mountain as a task for future me.
Seen on the way: Trillium flowers, snails, fog wafting over the trail.
Stopped shortly before Blood Mountain, where Bret and Mark, two former firefighters, found me. They managed to lighten the spirits with a little help from our friend Jim. They left me with more food than I came in, and were all around stellar guys.
Bad weather forecast for Blood Mountain tomorrow, let’s wait and see.
