The bear can was found where it was left and we did leave Low Gap Shelter.

Planned a long day today: 4200 ft ascend, 3100 feet descent in 15.3 miles.

The day was somewhat more challenging than anticipated. The elevation changes were quite exhausting. Arrived at Tray Mountain Shelter late in the evening.

The campsite is really good, views in all directions, elevation is about 4200 ft. Ate a quick meal, then sleep.
