Crisp morning, no snow for now. Lot’s of ridgeline walking with cold, windy, but sunny weather.

Got to the next shelter at around 15:00 and decided to push the 6 miles to the next. When we went off, the weather turned a little. Sun and snow showers for the next two hours.

Stopped at Siler Bald Shelter for the evening. Weather got better, but it’s really cold. Saw a turkey and deer right beside the shelter.

Built a big fire in the shelters fireplace and dried our wet clothes over it.

Tomorrow: Clingmans Dome with even colder and stronger winds forecasted, thats going to be a fun hike.
