Woke up at Warren’s place, made pancakes, walked to the gas station at the Divide Road junction and hitched a ride (technically two) into Damascus.
The outfitter told us to contact Osprey directly via phone, called them, they told me to email them. Hmmm.
Got out of Damascus shortly after noon. Trail goes up to the Grayson Highlands, so the going isn’t so easy as the last couple of days. But nothing too serious.
Did the last three miles on my own and camped beside the Virginia Creeper Trail. The Creeper Trail was a rail line once and is now a gently graded bicycle path. Very nice stretch of trail. Turmeric, Torch, and Buckeye Boy stayed at a shelter tonight.
Started raining soon after setting up my tent, but didn’t get wet.
