After meeting up with Buckeye Boy yesterday, we had just shy of 10 miles into town. Took our time to do that, stopped and smelled the roses. Scenic stretch with pine trees, nice trail, good views.

Came out of the woods at a highway, which was a little bit jarring. Short road walk to the outfitter, where Turmeric had a package waiting. Got a summer shirt there as well.

Then resupply at the Kroger/ABC store. While waiting outside and eating late lunch, two separate people came up and left us trail magic. One six pack of beer, one fruit platter. The generosity of random people here is a little bit surreal.

Got picked up by Survivor, who had offered to host us a few days ago. He has a nicely renovated old house in Roanoke and hosts a lot of people there. Had a nice evening with homemade food and nice conversation. Prof X was there as well.

After doing laundry and getting ice cream with Survivor and Prof X, fell into our beds.
