Got another pancake breakfast at Stanimals.

Then slackpacked into Shenandoah. Raining on and off. Filled out the backcountry permit and were on our way.

No views at all, but the trail is nicely graded. No water bars on the trails though. Trail and streams are indistinguishable at some times.

The trail in Shenandoah follows mostly the Skyline Drive, another tourist road built just for the views. Unfortunately the trail doesn’t get the views though. Some people walk the road to get the better views, but not us.

Didn’t get a place in the shelter that night and had to set up tent in the rain on uneven ground.
