The tent held up. Lots of headroom in there. The Walmart blanket was a little bit cold. Not a good idea to get a blanket just 1.5 m in length.
Got a pic of the resident shelter copperhead in its den. It didn’t like being a model; shouldn’t have set up den a foot besides the firepit then.
Flattest day so far on the AT. Got a little bit into civilization, a lot of farmland and finally views more than of the next few yards. Got that Midwest vibe.
Weather was hot enough to use the umbrellas for shade.
Walked into Boiling Springs. Really pretty town. Got new trekking pole tips at the outfitter, checked out the gas station grocery, then out of town again.
Hit up a roadside produce/ice cream stand for blueberries and chocolate ice cream. Turmeric called ULA to get her backpack repaired.
Set up tent at Darlington Shelter for the night.
