A day with rain showers.

Walked a few miles to the 501 Shelter, one of the more special ones on trail. It is a real building, with bunks, a skylight, running water, electricity, and a caretaker. Took a quick break there; Backfat, Squid, and crew where there as well as Ranger Dan.

Passed the 1200 mile marker. Now just triple digit miles to Katahdin!

Hiked through a controlled burn area, which had been burned half a year earlier. Pretty, and pretty eery too.

Ended the day at Eagles Nest Shelter.
