AT 106: Cobmin Ridge (Right Wing)

Getting and packing up was greatly accelerated by the discovery of a yellow jacket nest in the shelter. Explains why Turmeric got stung yesterday evening.

Made it out of camp by 7:30 trying to beat the heat; the mosquitoes didn’t get the memo of being active just in the afternoon though.

Walked by a big animal sanctuary which was a kind of swampy area. Lots of herons there. Got a little bit of boardwalking in as well, which is always nice.

Did a little break at around 2 PM to cool down, then on to our pickup point. Weather began to turn for the worse in the early evening. Got to a farm shop, where Buckeye Boy got us. Shelters around here are spaced really wonky and wild camping is not allowed, so we went back to the Cobmin Ridge Motel.

More: A lot of turkeys.
