AT 119: Upper Goose Pond

As the shelter has been really crowded this night, and just about everyone wanting to go to Goose Pond today, we wanted to get there early to get a bunk bed there.

After leaving the South Mt. Wilcox Shelters really early, we were ahead of most of the people there. Leapfrogged PBJ and Chumbawamba all day. Didn’t stop much all day, except for trail magic by one of the former owners of the Pond itself.

Made it to the Cabin by 4 PM, with plenty of bunks available. Got a canoe from Vlobster, the caretaker, and went out on the lake for a afternoon paddle. Buckeye Boy made it to the Cabin a few minutes later, hiking in from a local trailhead (brought McD!).

Had a nice evening, then early to bed.
