Did South and North Kinsman today as an ‘easy’ 16 mile slackpack.

Started at 6:50 at Kinsman Notch in the fog. Weather cleared up while doing the Mt Wolf PUDs. Got our feet wet on the bog boards.

After that, hiked/scrambled up South Kinsman. Very windy on top, nice views. Then on to North Kinsman, where from a rocky ledge there are amazing views of Franconia Ridge. That’s what we’ll be walking over on Thursday.

Quick downhill dash to Lonesome Lake Hut, where we got soup together with Blue Pear and Tumbleweed. Then down the hill to our pickup point, and to the Notch Hostel.

Got a place to sleep in the shed, where we got a really good nights sleep; with the shed doors cracked open and cool air coming in it almost feels like home (a shelter).
