AT 160: Kennebec

Woke up with condensation in the tent and wet quilts. Got up, crossed our first creek of the day (water up to knees).

Got into Pierce Pond Camp, where there was coffee and a wood stove. Dried out stuff, charged up a little, then on to the Kennebec.

Majorly sketchy creek crossings after the rain, trail is sometimes under water up to your knees.

Kennebec was crossed quickly in a canoe operated by Ferryman Matt.

After arriving at Holly Brook, we decided not to cross it. Way too sketchy. Had to backtrack 2.7 miles and then took a long roadwalk around the crossing.
