AT 162: Even More High Water Reroutes

Started the day at 4:15, to have enough time to get to Monson today. Word on the trail is that the upcoming river crossing was up to people necks yesterday. Not a thing to do out here after heavy rain.

Did an unavoidable smaller crossing together with Pony and Queso, which only came up to our hips. Sketchy.

Started a long roadwalk on remote logging roads to get around the Piscataquis River. Ended up walking into Monson on roads instead of the trail. Stopped by the gas station for pizza. Checked out the ATC visitor center, then got into Shaws.

Got a resupply package, bought stuff from the store, got new shoes as well. Hopefully sets us up for the 100 Mile Wilderness coming up.
