Got up early again, and out of camp as well. Had a food drop arranged with Shaw’s at Jo Mary Road, so we had to be on time. Got to the drop off place an hour early, relaxed for a bit, dried shoes and socks.
When Poet arrived, we dumped our resupply into the packs, and on we went. Terrain is very flat and cruisy.
Decided to do 22 miles today, to set us up nicely for the Katahdin summit day. Got our first good view of Katahdin towering over one of the many Maine lakes.
Arrived at Nahmakanta Lake way after dark and two hours of night hiking. Feels good doing big miles again.
