  Another day walking besides the Blue Ridge Parkway. Got trail magic oranges from random SOBO dayhikers. Stopped for lunch at a creek, where we took an extended dip. Very refreshing. Long stretch to next shelter. Chill evening with campfire. Hello, Airquotes, Grits there. More: Saw an AWACS.

  Left Survivor’s house reluctantly. He shuttled us back to the Daleville trailhead and we were on our way. First few miles out of town felt sluggish and slow.
