    Started raining at 6:30 and did so for 2 hours. Waited in the shelter for it to stop, then headed out. With fresh mud under/all around our feet the day was a long one. Climbed Stratton Mountain just in time to see some bad weather moving in; decided to move on real quick. Got overtaken

  • AT 127: Long Trail Miles

    Did 17 miles to Story Spring Shelter. Trail got a little less muddy, weather was ideal for hiking. No rain, no sun, cool enough that you need a jacket when stopping. No mosquitoes as well. Were able to have lunch and a afternoon break at shelters, which are much more frequent along the Long Trail.
