As the shelter has been really crowded this night, and just about everyone wanting to go to Goose Pond today, we wanted to get there early to get a bunk bed there. After leaving the South Mt. AT 118: Three Miles With Buckeye

Today: Big trail magic in a church tent today. Burgers and water for hungry hikers. Buckeye came to meet us as well. Hiked on to the South Mt Wilcox Shelters, picked up Buckeye on a trailhead three miles before that. He can pretty much keep up with us at this point, which is impressive. Stayed

AT 117: Bear Mountain, Mount Everett

Chumbawamba and PBJ decided to slackpack the next section, so we opted to do that as well. Drizzled a lot today and a lot of fog/clouds. Had two big peaks to cross, with slabby rocks and slick descents, so just having a light pack was much appreciated. Crossed into Massachusetts today. Leapfrogged PBJ and Chumbawamba
